This rose is one that was bought for us as a wedding anniversary pressie and as we were going on holiday and couldn't trust the neighbour to water it for us without killing it we planted it on our allotment as we have a brother in law that would water it for us.Anyway we never got around to digging it back up so it has grown and grown and we are gobsmacked at how it continues to look good throughout the summer months:biggrin:

The main problem we have is that we haven't got a clue what the name of this rose is and we think it was supposed to be a miniature type:snork:

Would also like to know from our Master rose grower @woo as to whether we can take cuttings of it in the Autumn?

    Anyway here she is:smile:

Hi @Kandy my friend my sincere apologies for missing this thread I have only just seen it:redface::smile:

The correct time to take cuttings is August/September:smile:

Now I can see two colours of blooms is it because they all start off the same and then change colour as they age?,I will search through my database for you but a close up of a bloom would be most beneficial ,and the year that it was planted ;)

These are in no particular order, and only the start of my search;)

Hi Woo,No worries with the reply although I did think to myself just before I logged on that you hadn't answered me so thought perhaps you was having a blonde moment like I get at times:biggrin:

I was over at the lottie today but never thought about taking a close up.I have close ups that I took in the past but can't say where they are on my laptop as I have thousands of photos on there:snork:

Next time we go over which might not be until later on in the weekend as rain is supposed to come tomorrow I will try and get some close ups for you.

The rose does start off as one colour I think then as each flower ages it turns to the other colours and as you can see it goes on and on all through the summer.

I think it was bought either as a leaving prezzie or an anniversary prezzie and I think the bush is around ten years old.I don't do a thing with it,and so would like to take the cuttings in case in the future we give up the lots if we move away from the area.Someone else can have the pleasure of it:smile:

Hi @Woo,lovely photo of your red rose you have posted above:smile:

I haven't been back long from the lottie and have taken some more photos of our rose.By the looks of things it starts off a yellow colour with a pink tinge on the outer petals and then as the flowers open the pink gets better, and as the flowers go on they end up all different shades of yellow and pink which makes the rose look like it it lots of different roses on one bush.

If I can get cuttings of it later on in the year then I shall be thrilled as it means I will be able to carry on admiring this rose for years to come wherever I settle my own roots so to speak:biggrin:

Good evening @Kandy my friend I'm still searching, just received an email from my friend at Peter Beale's Roses:smile:

              Dear Woo
I am very sorry for the delay in response, the nursery has been very busy while staff were away at Hampton Court, hence we have struggled to keep on top of our emails. Thank you for taking the time to send us this image. I'm afraid we are not able to be certain about the identity of this rose but I feel sure I've seen it before. Are you able to send us a sample with a bud, length of stem and bloom that is half open? There is another lady with our advice team that might be able to shed some light on this for us but she won't be back for a week now. I will hold on to this image for now and be sure to ask for her opinion when she returns.
I hope you find this helpful. Apologies once again for the delay and many thanks for your patience at this busy time.

              Kind regards,
              Becky Scott

Hi @Woo,Many thanks for your efforts in finding out about this rose for me.

We are not where we should be at the moment as we are spending time on Queenies Estate so will hopefully be able to send you a specimen when we are next at the lottie if there are any more buds to open.
