I was thinning my carrots when I noticed the babies coming out are all white.

They're not white carrot seeds and last year from same batch were all orange. The use by date for the seeds isnt until next year.

Are they missing out on something? (I know its not a vampire bunny!)

How big are the babies? I think they are white for a while before they change but I don't know at what size.

Sounds like someone is messing with your head! If they're the same seeds as last year then they should be orange unless they've been mixed up somehow. They start orange and stay orange, or at least all of mine have.
Have you tried tasting one? They could be mooli radishes instead!

Noone has been near the seeds except me. They are the same pack as last years so definitely not radishes.

The carrots are erm baby sized. like 3-4 cm 1cm thick.

    I guess time will tell...

I know my tiny carrots are white, just when they are starting to thicken, till at least a few millimetres thick. Keep us posted.

    Hi Moopants,

I've found that the ones that bolt tend to have white roots, but I prefer the idea of Vampire Bunnies:parsnip:
