Everything coming up at a very fast rate.

Delphiniums,..i took some cuttings last season and they are about the same size but had two extra ones,..decided to plant them in a big Terracotta Pot and a plastic container.

          2.jpg

          3.jpg

Lupins are in great shape,..no Snails or Slugs,..all sprayed with Neem Oil Mix.

          5.jpg

          6.jpg

New sowings of Musk Mallow 'Malva moschata'.
The stems from last season had green shoots about half way up the dried stems so i cut them off and planted them,..they should flower this season.

Actually, planting hellebores in a tall container is a really good idea, as ours are hard to see growing at ground level, I must try that.

Lol about the size of the pots and the dog,..the latter is only 15 inches high 38 cm ( Foxy Molly ) and the pots are 36 inches high 90 cm,..i had the same problem in seeing the blooms on the Hellebores,..placing them on high solved the problem as the blooms droop.

I like the pot very much glengarry, it looks like a churn? Also, at what stage do you use bamboo canes to support delphiniums, is it best to do this early?

@Oakapple ,..it certainly does look like a churn though its fiberglass,..i store the two of them with soil that was never used and it prevents the wind blowing them over.

I have started placing canes around each Delphinium,..mostly as a marker at this stage,..about 30 cm 12 inches away from the new shoots,..later i will have to use canes approx 2 metres high 6Ft,..with the markers there i wont be damaging the roots,..my Delphiniums grow to over 2 metres high,..you will see what they look like in June in the video below.

Just lovely glengarry, are those erysium in the last pic ( unsure of spelling.)
I will do as you advise with the delphiniums as am trying some out this year for height and colour.
The warmth we have coming our way this next week will help things along.:hotsun:

The Hellebore in containers have started producing more plants,..the one below was a single plant last season.

Every so often i get a rose cutting that seemed to be coming along fine,..then it dies below the soil but still has healthy shoots further up the stem,..so i place a container around it,..then fill it up with soil to above the healthy growth,..it has worked in the past,..its almost like taking another cutting and there is a 50 50 chance of survival.
