Hi, I transferred this banana from its (tiny) pot and into its new home a few weeks ago. Since then it has suffered and now looks like the picture. Did i put it out too early? No frosts since repotting but cold and very windy at times plus a battering from the recent stoms.
Do you think it will recover its pre transfer health?
    Many thanks

It's suffering from not being hardened off.
I'd hesitate putting it outside until you can guarantee some at least mild nights.
They do get battered by winds at the best of times, but the cold winds we have been getting lately are not going to do it any good.

Thanks for the replies. It's very heavy to move now it's in that big tub. I did buy some large fleece frost bags that fit over it and tie at the bottom. I could put them both over it for now.
Or better to try and drag it into the garage till June ish?

You know, if it was mine, I'd take it out the big tub for now and if possible put it back in the pot it came in, then you can move it in and out for a few weeks should we get more cold nights or gale force winds.

Yes, I did do that when i first got it to try to let it adjust but I think I still put it out too soon poor thing.
If it won't harm it then I'll transfer it back into a smaller pot and try again. Looks like all those leaves have had it. Is it safe to remove them or best to leave them?

Leave the leaves on until it's made some more decent sized ones.

I only cut off leaves that are pretty much dead.
