    Hi there friends,

Not been on for last couple of weeks as i took it upon myself to break my collarbone - left side (again) - and yes you've guessed it i'm left handed. :(

Have had to stand by whilst son looked after garden. Now i only have one Monet alive, my king fern is dead, but on a positive note the Hebe is in it's full glory :D (asked him to replant it out back and me thinks it very happy there, loads of butterflies around it [IMG] )

So i have learned FOR EVERY NEGATIVE THERE IS A POSITIVE :D :D [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Hi AG sorry to hear about your recent accident and I do hope you are starting to feel a lot better. For some unknown reason in the last few years I have broken bones 3 times on my right foot and toes and ended up in plaster for a month, then on the second day of our holiday two years ago I stubbed my small toe and broke it..ouch.

My name should be changed to accidentpronegardener [IMG] :D :D

Good Luck with your garden though and having your son to help you out.I hope you give him a big hug as a Thankyou [IMG]

Hi, ag ... wondered where you got to! Sorry to hear about your collarbone and I hope you mend soon. I have never broken a bone so cannot sympathise in that respect.

Obviously Kandy can sympathise with you!

Good to have you back. [IMG]

    Hi guys and gals,

Update - am home again after having a plate screwed in to my collarbone. Sounds gory but it was really small. Hurts a bit but i'm learning to do things with the right hand side [IMG]

Having physio, can't work, drive, lift, bend or laugh but my family has me in stitches (excuse the pun) so i end up giggling and moaning ouch at the same time.

All i need now is a bell to call when i need assistance :D Ooooooh the power :D

I'm glad to be back tho, have missed reading everyones posts [IMG]

    Hi Helen,

The boys have deserted me for 4 days! The cheek of it, they had the audacity to disappear off on a rugby tour to Holland this morning and won't be back until Monday (she says pretending to be annoyed when in fact she is rather releaved at the freedom :D )

Nice bottle of Pinot chilling in the fridge but i've flumoxed myself because i can't get the cork out [IMG] [IMG]

Sorry to hear about your bad luck ag, hope you'll be completely recovered soon.

I broke the radius bone in my right elbow 15 years ago and got a cast from my shoulder to the tips of my fingers! It healed well and I never had a problem since. Fingers crossed that you have the same luck.

Perhaps it was a lucky break for me (ha! another pun!) as I hardly had the cast removed when we drove down to visit Sis and BiL in Portugal - and returned with our darling Gato!

    Hi KD,

I knew i could have done with a break but i meant Barbados or something [IMG] [IMG]

I am actually enjoying the challenge of hobbling around on my own (ah the freedom, no nagging and whining for 4 whole days :D ).

Have been amusing myself by ordering even more shrubs for the garden but we won't tell hubby 'bout that [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Still haven't managed to get cork out of bottle, its like being on a diet and surrounded by cream cakes.

I am now worrying for my sanity because out of sheer boredom i have been giving the crane flies names, Arthur, Florence and Oberon. I named all the garden ornaments aswell - Colin, Keith, Graham, Craig, Peter and Tarquin.

    Perhaps i should lie down........
