My primrose blue jeans are in flower!

    Anyone else's primroses confused?

    According to when they should flower they are 6 months early

      Hi Dips,

      A lot of plants flower when the weather hits a specific temperature.
      Examples are Primroses, Wallflowers and some shrubs such as Kerria. It's much the same as if you have a cold spell and then it warms up again to trigger new flowers on things like Roses in December.

        i see anthony rogers

        weirdly last year my groundcover flowercarpet roses flowered all year round with no break so did my mums which we found odd

        they have started to stop flowering already this year so its def colder

        my arabis was flowering in dec last year as well which was nice

          Yeah, last year we had Roses and Fuchsias to cut for our table on Christmas Day which was nice.
