This beautiful plant is certainly busy, I never expected to see flowers, I'm so pleased.

The flowers are delicate little things, aren't they? With my one here I usually find that when those appear, if I look underneath roots will also be emerging from the pot! So maybe flowering is to do with the plant feeling potbound?

It was very pot bound when we bought it @Clare G , we've only had it a month or so and potted it on, so maybe it was going to produce flowers before we bought it, although I didn't notice any at the time.

Hopefully it will be happy in this pot a little longer.

Very delicate flowers, I could have missed them, but I'm so pleased I spotted them. Pretty little things.

Yes flowers are lovely and so easy to grow in fact I am thinking of start growing house plant again by getting a spider plant also although spider plants are not toxic to cats if you have a cat
Cats mainly like spider plants because they are mildly hallucinogenic. . Similar in nature to the effects of catnip, spider plants produce chemicals that induce your cat’s obsessive and fascination behavior .but if eaten they can cause tummy upsets even diarrhea so put it out of reach of kitty if possible

I had no idea about their effects on cats! In my last flat, I had one spider plant that produced so many babies I couldn't give them away! But I felt terrible throwing them away.

Mine used to flower in December. A lovely surprise the first time as I didn't know they flowered at all.

I will have to get another one.

The roots are very strong and if left in a plastic pot root bound for too long they will split it.

I was forever repotting mine. I brought it home from work where it was really struggling. It had been left by an ex-colleague. I put it on a south-facing windowsill and it went nuts!
