There i have been merrily hopeful for three years now hoping that my Wintersweet would flower this winter. Alas twas not to be, she was happy where she was was Gladys (yes i named her), but no this winter she dropped her leaves each and every one. Her stems still live but can anybody tell me why this might have happened?

    Thanks friends :)

Paula, are you talking Chimonanthus? If so, it dropped it`s leaves because it`s deciduous, and it is winter/spring flowering, so there is still hope.:gnthb:

From what I know cimonathus can take several years (even 7-10 ) before it blooms the first time. Sit back and give it time.
