I know this may sound far fetched but I came home last week and a strange tree had grown over night. It's about 7 ft tall quite spiky and has lights on it. Can anyone help?

      That'll be a Yuletae upperfairybottomus.

Quite a common winter shrub, tends to be shortlived, best watered sparingly for 12 days and then shredded :)

Is it a vigorous climber like this? If so they can be a bit of a thug and are best chopped down as soon as possible.
