Mystery Cucumber

2 years ago I grew some cucumbers from the seed swap, I think they were called "lemon cucumber" they were round , tennis ball size, and yellow, my neighbours keep asking me if I am growing them again this year, they loved them, unfortunately the seed I saved didn`t germinate, can anybody help with a name, or even some seed for next year.

 

Hi pamsdish@. I recently planted some and they are slow growing by me ... if they germinate! I understand they are slow in general, ie, fruiting etc. Mine were just called Lemon Cucumbers but I believe the botanical name may be Cucumis sativus.

That`s great Pete look even more like them, I wouldn`t have eaten them unpeeled as skin was very prickly, which was what was making me unsure about the ones I found.
