I have plants in the garden read up on them and throw the tags away.

I've got two of these plants in the garden and they fire off a beautiful red, then white pearls and for the life of me I do not remember their names. SDC15529 (2).JPG

      Its a Piers .
Is that one plant or two ? If its one its going into reversion / reverting back to something more like it parent. The solid green leaf will take in more light and energy so will grow more vigorous and eventually see off the other form.

          Agree with Perki.......
Gail, check the rootstocks and see if you have 2 plants growing together. If so you can carefully dig them up and separate. Failing that, if it has reverted, I would prune out all the green shoots. The variegated form is a slow growing sort and makes a lovely mound; the green portion will overwhelm and spoil this if not treated asap. Now is a good time to do that :)

            Thanks Perki,
Yes it's just one plant and I have another the same size, they was trimmed in September and lifted up off the gravel, they're beautiful plants.
Well they parts still go a blazing red in the summer and fingers crossed they keep going that way :)

            Hi Verdun,
I told Perki, they was cut and trimmed in September as they both lost some leaves from underneath and when I checked them again they'd developed new shootings from the roots...it's like that leaf loss as regenerated them from the shooting.
They'll get trimmed because I don't want to split the plants as the two gardens we have there's no room for anymore and thank you for your sound advise.:)

Well finally after 8yrs from a jungle of mixed fruits:roflol: where the centre piece is we did have a lovely flat lawn till the sun kept burning it, so we added the large gravel, it's all been lined and I can't put a price on the plants as they've been moved around till they've developed in certain spots and the decking alone as had 4-5 plants on their in pots and have out grown them.

I brought these early this year :)

I totally agree with you as the blue on these grasses is a striking blue when the sun hits them:)

Checked them out and there's a deep sky blue that matches those I've had but being autumn now they're dull but apparently have to be groomed to take deadness from out of it.

I brought two Salix integra "Hakuro-nishiki" lovely plants and apparently in the bottle brush family, as I love those but the bees are terrible when mine are in full flower.

For foliage colour in summer those Hakuro nishikis (willows) are superb Gail. :) A couple here too that catch the eye.
They look esp good with purple foliage, e.g. Heucheras, acteas, etc., and red grasses :)
