    Hi All

Look at these self sets in my greenhouse, firstly are they Courgette's, Pumpkin or Cucumber. How do you tell at this stage??

Then when we have discovered what they are (I am hoping for Cucumbers as I am short of these) are they worth saving or keeping. The Cucumbers I grew last year were Burpless Tasty Green (all female) from Thomson & Morgan so if they are them will the fruits be edible or bitter???

All responses welcome even if it is "go out and spend some money on seeds you tight old person"

    Thanks

    Dave

Dave I don`t think they`d be cucumbers as, being all female, it is unlikely they would have been cross pollinated. So I would plump for them being courgettes or pumpkins.:thumb: So go out and buy some seed you tight old thing, you.:D:p

I will try to take some more picture's later today, but I am with you lot it looks like they are developing into Courgette's.

David, it looks like I will not need to buy more seed after all as I have 8 Cucumber plants so I think that will be enough for a family of 4 although I normally have 10 plants (phew that saved me a couple of quid). I did grow some mexican something or other mini cucumbers in the same greenhouse so I guess crosspollination may have occured, by the way I pickled the mexican ones and they were awful I must of done something wrong!!!

Thanks for all the advice all of you

    Dave

Well i always used to grow marrows, so if your into eating them long before they are ready, I'd say they are courgettes.:D
Not cues or pumps, is my guess.
