    Hi All,

My wife, kids and I went to Packwood House (just gardens) today and we had such a good day we have joined the national trust. I am sure there are many members that are also NT members, so I am after suggestions of wher to visit. We have a 4 year old and a 13 month old so really need outdoor space for them too.

It's well worth the membership fee, I got a discount for single parent membership.

Not sure about the midlands, but you'll get a book in the post with all the properties by area.

Don't forget the card if you go on holiday, there are loads of NT car parks around the coast that you can park in for free now (you get a car sticker, but some ask for the card too)

The book will describe the places quite well. :blue thumb:

Apart from being able to pick which local places to visit when you go anywhere it can help you decide whereabouts in the country you may want to visit for a holiday. They also do holiday lets.

We always enjoy going to Baddesley Clinton in the Midlands. However today it is Bodnant Gardens (again).
Croft Castle is not far from Solihull either, nice place to go for a walk, round the woods and up to the Iron age Fort.

          naughty
Only one time of year when I think it's worth the long drive (400 mile return trip! - and even then combined with a holiday) http://www.walesonline.co.uk/special-features/see-laburnum-arch-bodnant-garden-7056176

That's because members can get replacement car permits FOC and some naughty people were getting them and then selling them on ebay.
