    YDD,

you show me yours and I'll show you mine :hehe: - but mine are not posh retracting ones. :)

The one on the right is 60m, the one on the left is 50m and the one in the middle is a 30m extension for either of the other two. None of them were top of the range hoses but were whatever seemed reasonable quality and cheap at the time. All of them are at least 20 yrs old. :thumb:

WoW Shiney, youv'e had your money's worth there.. Brilll.. I was sick of buying cheap hoses that didn't wind up without gett'n in a knot or leaking, So i bought this with a long Guarantee (can't remember how long) I pull it once and no matter how twisted it is it reels back in.. only downside is its quite heavy to pull out but my sis bought the 30m one £50 and its a thinner hose and easier to pull out.. Its the second best thing iv'e bought for my garden.. My TF is THE First :)

I have to agree with YDD - I also have a self retracting hose and its one of the best things I have brought for the garden. Saves so much time and effort :)

    Worth every penny !!

As it's on the allotment i dont need to wind it in, really it's all about price and with a 25 year guarantee i suspect it can't be beaten.

I've ordered it from another place now as they have stock....

Food for thought with that lot:)...I'm having trouble with the Hozelock fittings wearing out on the reel connection and flying off under the pressure ,I've had to resort to a more reliable method of unwinding the hose......ME!:D

Maybe use all-brass connectors instead? More expensive, but given longevity probably cheaper in the long run.

At the moment I am using a 10 metre hose that I think was from Lidl. Itâ??s a good quality hose! Looks similar to the kingfisher one. Much better than the cheap carp one from woollies! Kinked all the time and stays the same shape.

Did have a hozelock one but it got damaged so started to use the cheap woollies one. The hozelock hose was a good one. One thing I learned is never buy a cheap hose! The same goes for the connectors! I have hozelock connector that could be 7 years old and still work fine! Who knows how many times they have been stood on. All that I have needed to change is the rubber o ring in the stop connector.
