Excellent, had some in the box round the back last year but none at the front, so will move that one to a better location.

Hi JG, you've done the right thing at the right time, let's hope you get those Blue Tits nesting in there. I've got three new boxes out in the garden now, one in the roof of the Arbour, one on the bottom fence and one amongst the climbing roses by the pond.:D

Hi JG, I just love making and buying (if they're cheap enough :D) bird boxes, it's a bit of weakness of mine, I always end up with more than I have space for, I currently have 5 in the garden with another 2 to go out..

Top tip here, if you fancy a 'Sparrow Terrace' bird box where by there's 3 compartments to one large box as sparrows like nesting in colonies don't pay the usual price of around £30 for one, instead take advantage of Asda's current offer of bird boxes for £3; buy three and join them together, make the holes just a touch larger and - et voila :D, you have one for less than £10 :dbgrtmb:

We put up a "Sparrow Terrace" on one of our sheds about three years ago and the only nest in it so far has been a wasps' nest. One of our tit boxes has been in constant use for about five years, but last year sparrows moved into it and it looks like they'll be in again this year as again as they have already started popping in and out of it.
