Solved Never seen this before....

    ..but it's growing by the ditch outside our house. Hubby has dumped some old budgie seed and sand there when he cleaned his aviary floor out, so I'm thinking that's where it's from? But can anyone put a name to it for me please?

      Amaranthus have been coming up like weeds in my beds this year, self seeded from bedding a couple of years ago.

      I googled that and it does look like the wild type. Funny i've not seen them before. Thanks
