As above really, just bought it from a local gc, who informatively labelled it ' cactus ' :heehee: Had to buy it though, been promising my youngest son one for ages :)

I think it could be a yellow Rebutia, but not 100% sure @Loki

Yep, Rebutia, flower every year if you give them a cool/dry winter rest.
Pot it on into a slightly bigger pot next month, best in half pots, they don't need depth.

Continue to water when dry through the summer and stop in September.
Good light and direct sun is beneficial.

@pete it was bone dry when I bought it so I gave it a good soaking, should I have waited? When would you suggest I start watering? I can't kill it, my son might over water me :ouch1:

              No your OK.
Watering with Cacti is temperature and light related.
So now things are moving in the cacti world, water sparingly but you should never overwater even in mid summer.
Rebutia is a spring flowerer so it will not flower during summer, be prepared for that, but it should grow and might even produce some new heads.
