I have just bought a new species of lavender from New Zealand called Lavandula stoechas 'genghel' - It is very beautiful, compact with a strong smell. I have just repotted it from the original provided (a little bigger) however some of the stems look like they are wilting especially round the edges, this may be quite normal but I want to make sure - can anyone help. I can provide a photograph [IMG]

I would think its just checking after repotting. Not the best time to repot when they are in flower. Keep it on the dry side, and see how it does.

Thanks for that - I hope I haven't ruined it. Its just that the pot it came in was so hideous and shiny and plastic that I couldn't bear it. At the moment its quite wet cos I watered it immediately after repotting I thought thats what you had to do after all repotting.

Charlie...better to repot, when ever it's necessary, even now, you did right to give it bigger shoes lol.. just trim some of it and it will flower later, but feed it too.Always water plants round edges before repotting, in case the roots are stuck to pot, usually are, when you buy this days lol then again after. GOOD LUCK.

Should be fine - just give it time.
