    I have two questions.

Q1. Where new lawn meetbold lawn grass colour is different.

Is there any thing I can do?

Q2 see new lawn, grass is dead. What should I do to make it green.

    Thanks

Did you water the old lawn as well as the newish lawn?
Was the new lawn laid on an area prepared by adding new top soil?
Have you applied any lawn treatments to either area this year?

I watered new and old lawn same amount of water each week.

    No treatment.

Old lawn was used to be veggie plot.

We treated old lawn and then rotovated it and then seeded after levelling it. No top soil was added as soil was already so enriched.

So there’s 2 different sub soil contents to the lawn.
The new lawn looks like it’s still recovering from the dry summer unless you watered every day and the patches have appeared but it looks from what I can see is still recovering.
You may also have different grass types in the new lawn, some grass types show stress from weather quicker than others.
We still where I am have plenty of lawns recovering from this warm spell and with little rain it’s been a slow recovery.
As a guess without being on site it’s just a lack of watering in the hot spell. To keep the lawn green and heathy they needed a good water daily.

When you look at the new lawn do you notice the finer type grass has gone rather than the thicker type grass? I’m guessing you added a basic grass seed mixture that had rye and fescue as that’s fairly common.

It was a good quality seeds.

Is there any way grass colour can match?

Agree with liz the pot :). The summer has affected the newer grass more than the longer established old part prob because of the better quality soil in there

I would not worry too much right now Mane :)

Next spring apply a granular lawn feed. It should go some way to balancing the old and new areas. Too late in the season to feed now to make much of a difference....an autumn feed is available though.
During the summer, if the colour difference is still noticeable, apply a liquid lawn feed too :)

There’s no real magic way but you could apply a seedweed feed which will green up the lawn but it will not really help to lush up the lawn as such and the areas that are stressed out will still show.
Same with iron but you have to keep off the grass and watch out that you don’t spill or tread on a patio or inside your house as iron stains.
Just have to wait for the grass to recover I’m afraid then see whats what.

There are lots of fertilisers on sale be it liquid, granular but I would start with a nice Autumn/Spring feed before the summer cuts in.
Let’s see how the weather plans out and how your lawn looks in the spring and go from there. We don’t want another start as we did this year where it went from cold to hot almost overnight.
