Thought I'd share my garden videos from Thursday. I'm trying to create an Exotic looking garden with some hardy reliable back bone plants and some more tender choices. I moved to my current location in October 2011 and both the front and back gardens were just weeds and grass 3 feet high. The garden is certainly a young developing project, hope you enjoy.

Hi John, welcome to Gardeners Corner.
That sounds like a great project to build and develop a Exotic looking garden and as you said you have a stock of suitable plants to start you off. If I may can I suggest that you widen the borders as narrow borders and strong Exotic plants will clash or look "lonely" if planted too far apart. There are a lot of talented garden designers on GC who might disagree/agree with me and who might give you some ideas on design so that you don't end up with a narrow strip of lawn by widening the borders.:coffee::snork:

Welcome to GC John. We have a lot of members that enjoy the more exotic plants and you'll come across them as you scout around the site. As you say your gardens are young but it's surprising how they will soon fill out. :)
