IM000546.jpgmod.jpg Hi All, I found your site just by posting a gardening question on google, and got the answer.
We "inherited", a mature ornamental garden when we bought this house 14 yrs ago, and I've been fighting to keep the standard of the garden up, the previous owners were retired and expert gardeners, I'm not. I think the time has come to try and create a garden that we like, and being a total novice I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions in the future. Hopefully this year we are having an extension built on the back of the house so the patio and "lawn" will have to move further down the garden. The rear garden is approx 80ft long.

      Welcome to GC :dbgrtmb:

We have lots of members who would be happy to give hints and advice. You would need to give us a better idea of what you want and what you think you're not happy with at the moment. :)

Thank you all for the kind welcome, I'm not going to be able to do much until after the extension is built but I'm learning as much as I can about Begonias, we tried them out last year in tubs and hanging baskets and they were lovely, definitely better than the usual dead heading hanging basket petunias. I have tried to over winter them and am waiting to see if they "pop" out again.
