    Hi Steve
as the professional, I'm sure you have much valuable experience to share with fellow members.
Sorry to step forward as the sceptic, but there have been a number of people who tried to use the GC site as an attempt to attract clients.
I am hopeful that you can provide valuable advice without an ulterior motive and look forward to benefiting from your expertise.
If you are here to stay then, if you can withstand the "off the wall" humour of the "Odd" members I hope you can enjoy your time on the site:sign0016:

Just curious, and I do admit :new:; but, if someone were joining to spam, my experience as a moderator of a forum (admittedly some time back) suggests that they would have plastered the forums with more than one post and in very quick succession?

User names, eh? Quite ambiguous sometimes and quite misleading at others; yet, on the rare occasion, quite apt. It's a toughie to distinguish one from another. Time will tell.

No, Mum, some will sit there after joining and do nothing for quite a while and then inject a post that's blatantly, or otherwise, is spam. Some will come in straight away and spam, others will drop a link in, but us Admin [:paladin:] are there night and day, day and night, week after week, month after......well, you get the jist:heehee: No wonder I don't get let out and off the Compost Heap.:coffee:

Thats the reason our new member is still here Mum, if we thought he was just a spammer then you wouldn't have seen this thread. Yes, he's got a business name, but he hasn't put any links in so far, if he does, without permission then he will be banned.

                Ooh-Err.
                did I scratch an itch?
We have many members on here who are professional gardeners and also valuable contributors.
The odd few have had other motives.
I just thought I would clear the air up front and was expecting a response from Steve.
Where's that mushroom so I can hide again?:sofa:
