Newspaper Mulch

    Hi All
    I always have a plentiful supply of newspapers & just wondered if I can use them as a mulch around edible crops like R,Beans/Toms/Lettuce/Cabbages etc ????

    I used to put them in the bottom of a runner bean trench in the allotment, brilliant for conserving water, but on the surface it tends to blow all over as soon as it dries out
