Nicotiana sylvestris seed selection

    I have a Nicotiana sylvestris plant that is about 8' tall. Do you think it is likely that selecting seed from this may give a higher proportion of tall offspring?

    Any ideas what the variety "only the lonely" is differentiated by? (I have a feeling I grew some from that, and some from a plain named packet, so the tall ones may from one ... or the other!)
