Hi everyone, new here and also new to the Midlands....over the last couple of weeks I have had a new visitor to my garden, it's causing no end of issues, including poop and over the last few weeks digging...anyone got anything to help me track down what's causing this? How I might locate how it's getting in or what I should search for? I'm so garden sad right now, the sun scorched my once beautiful garden and now holes are appearing faster than I can fill them in. (Ps hope this is in the right place to post) I have also included a poo picture (sorry)

I did wonder that, sorry thanks for replying though, shall I move it to a different discussion? Thank you for the link, I have looked at a vast range of poo, and I seem to get mixed views with it being a fox or badger...

The poo is about the same size as a small dogs or bigger than a cats, I'm not overly bothered about the poo I can pick it up, they are also eating all the plums dropping down from the tree, my thought was badgers but then I thought they tended to poo in the same spot? This is just some of the distraction caused! About a metre squared and some of the holes are deep? I'm confused between badger and fox only because a few footballs also got destroyed.

I would say it's fox poo, the plums could be eaten by the badger and the fox they will eat the whole plum, the digging i would say is the badger they can reck a lawn looking for grubs and worms

I'm not sure on what it is. @Zigs may know more.

If it's badgers (I had a problem with them but they always seemed to poo in a hole they had dug) then I was able to deter them (illegal to harm them) by spraying the boundary of the garden with Jeyes Fluid. I also sprayed the area that they liked the best. I did the spraying once a month for four months and it has now been well over a year since they last visited. I guess that if it rains heavily you would need to spray a little more often.

The garden smelled quite clean :heehee:

I don't think we had any visitors last night (well no sign of poo) it's the damage to the lawn that's making me think badger..although I wouldn't know where they would be getting in. The plums are being eaten but not the seeds they are littered all over.
