That is exactly my thoughts A, the seller has only 12 positive transactions looks to be a totally honest guy with other sales and thought it was a issue but in reality that's what they do make a slight noise, time will tell :fingers crossed: i might be getting it Saturday now i will report back as and when :)

Hope it works out. I have a 17-70 lens with OS and it's absolutely silent. I suppose it will depend on cause and where it's coming from, fingers crossed!

Just started reading that review and something I noticed was this 'sports a silent Hyper Sonic focusing motor '... Hope it's OK when it arrives

Thank you, Yes but as mentioned
Its a common fault/issue, Ecosia: IP Blocked
So if its this what hes referring too its not really a issue and i have a bargain,

If its not ive got it that cheap i can afford to spend £130 on it im sure i will be able to get it refurbished for that, if its going to cost more i will send it back,

Either way im in a no loose situation,

if its a slight noise when in OS (Optical Stabilization), I win, it appears to be a slight fault that can be tolerated :hapfeet: i have a bargain

Spend £130 having it refurbished, I win, i have a dam good refurbished lens for £360 :hapfeet:

If its needs repair costs over £130 and the sellers not prepared to refund me a certain amount of money to contribute to the repair, i will send it back and get my money back , i will have lost nothing :hapfeet::biggrin:

I tried that utility out on the phone and it was awful. Maybe it's improved a bit since but not willing to try again - I bought a generic remote for about a quid off ebay and that works brilliantly. I found transfer of images exceptionally slow via wifi but slipping the card out and into the PC I had them all transferred in seconds

I use my camera a fair bit my last camera the card holder broke after a while, and im concerned about it happening with my new camera, i agree its lots quicker with the card in pc,

Most of the time when im transferring pictures i only want 6/8 out of 20/30 shots so its not too bad transferring them if i pick the shots i want,

I will send for one and report back, the phone control might be ok for macro shots most phone wifi apps i use work well and responsive now days they appear to be making good progress with this technology.

Looks ok but not suitable for my camera, i didn't want a full frame camera landscapes images is not my thing tbh,

I wanted APS-C sensor better for my needs combined with a full frame lens i can really get close up and save money on lenses, the 500mm lens ive just bought is equivalent to a 800mm on my camera, no bells and whistles on the D3300 so i need to add things that suit me best.

                        Lens update,

The lens arrived yesterday and its like new :), before i bought it i did a fair bit of reading and it might need a F/W upgrade for AF to work on my camera, anyhow it does and i was unable to check the noise,

Today ive called to a camera repair shop to have it checked out, the noise he was referring to you need very good ears to hear it, the shop owner has no concerns about it and says its normal on Sigma lenses you really have to put your ear to the lens to notice any noise,

With it being a older lens the usb dock is not suitable for the FW upgrade so it needs to go back to Sigma, the upgrade cost £42 so its not bad, at the end of the day ive got a dam good lens for under £300 :).
