No More Nails - No Good (for what I did with it)

    Afternoon all.

    My pond features a butyl liner, and then ordinary weed control fabric for the surrounding area. I want to stick the two together where they overlap (out of the water).

    I did this yesterday, and it has not even attempted to dry.

    What else can I use please? I have some strong PVA glue, and superglue.

    Superglue will be too brittle, pva would need the air to dry so if the fabric is breathable it might do.

    Contact adhesive like evo stick might be better.

    I found some "Unibond 100% Power Glue" from when Gothilda developed a minor fault. I've tried that.

    Pink Grip - sticks like poo to a blanket, and sets like stone.

    EDIT - or, if there is a degree of flex needed, Wickes All-Weather Sealant (Co-polymer) is worth a shot; takes a good 24 hours to cure (maybe more if its cool) but is very similar to the sealant used for aquariums.

    Evo stik will do it , don't get the solvent free stuff. May be a tad expensive though if you have yards to glue down . Do you really need to glue it ?

    I was going to ask that last question! :)

    What about large stones around the edge with gravel a bit further back and pots of trailing plants set in the gravel?

      Thanks all, its done now though. I used Unibond stuff.



      I wasn't going to glue it. My original plan was exactly as per Shiney's suggestion, but until I can get the stones and gravel, and I'm a bit skint at the moment, there's not much weighing down the weed fabric, so it keeps flapping up in the wind.

      PU adhesive is pretty good for slighty damp situations as it sets on contact with moisture.
      Has a slight foaming effect.
