    Hello everyone

I think I have bitten off more than I can chew....

I normally pop down to the local garden homebase and buy my flower plugs on pop them straight into my hanging baskets and window boxes. This year I thought I'd go head to head against my mum and her fabulous garden displays and plant some different flowers so I went on the internet and have purchased approx 100 beautifully colourful plant plugs such as...

    BIDENS GOLDSTAR
    GERANIUM GERAINBOW WHITE
    PETUNIA MILLION BELLS RED
    PETUNIA PINK STAR
    FUCHSIA GIANT MARCUS GRAHAM
    PETUNIA TUMBELINA INGA
    PETUNIA TRAILING RED VELVET
    FUCHSIA ERUPTION
    PETUNIA WHITE

After the excitement of purchasing them I thought that Id better have a little read up on them and realised that I have bought 30mm and 40mm plugs which seem tiny to me. I guess that these plugs need extra looking after and cant go straight outside. Also Im worried that there isnt enough time for them to grow sufficiently ???But on the website it said that the plant would be ready for dispatch by the end of May.

Help, I havent got a clue what I should do with them and will be arriving any day now!!!

    Thank you in advance

30 year old novice, kelly *****

When they arrive do not believe they glib statements about "ready to plant out now".
Pot them on and keep indoors until they settle down.
The plugs are large and should be ready to flower within a month - just keep them indoors until the flowers start to open (if you have enough room - otherwise keep them in a sheltered area)
I'm sure you'll have a lot of colour with that lot.

My OH has been moaning about sharing the bedroom with 9 tomato plants that grew 24" tall. Said he was having "choking nightmares" 'cos they were nicking all the oxygen at night"

That's so funny!!! I put the teeniest tomato plants in grow bags in the porch, and cos I didn't know I had to prune them, we couldn't get out of the door, my neighbour had to come and cut them back for me!
