HI! I'm a bit of a garden novice but recently moved into a house with a wonderful garden and am enjoying getting to grips with it. To my delight, in April the flower beds all around the house burst into a mass of bluebells (the large Spanish variety, I'm told). Now that they're over, though, I'd like to plant some other things in the beds to get a bit of summer colour. Can I just cut the bluebells back or will that harm them for next year?

    Anyone got any advice?

I am desperately trying to get rid of the invasive Spanish Bluebells, and can reassure you that cutting them back does not harm them :0(

    They are bad!
I had them overtaking the garden,
    and dug them all out.
Read they are not good for our native Bluebell.
For sure, cutting back will not kill
