Very true Strawman. My parents were strict with us [had to be with four young children] and if I did get told off my dad would say " well here's a clip to go with it" :(
He chased my sister round the garden with a scrubbing brush and some Vim to scrub her knees because she refused to wash :skp:

Good job there was no Childline in those days but as you say we were bought up to respect others and I thank my parents for that. I didn't at the time :hehe:

True, Jazmine, but if there had been Childline, we'd have found a way to use it to our advantage as kids, and without harming our parents. Oh what a wicked mind I have:hehe: When I think back to those far off days, I recall that I had a great deal of respect for my parents. I wish I could say the same about the kids we see today. They don't appear to have respect for anyone. Of course, there are always exceptions to this, so as nobody gets the wrong opinion of me.:dh:

Terrible loss, Robert. With such narrow buildings, it's lucky that the fire didn't spread futher into the surrounding buildings. Mind you, if the shop was a really popular one, then they'll probably be reopened in next to no time at all. Let's hope so for the owners.
