I just had a very strange thing happen. I was obviously logged in and reading and responding to What's New and clicked on page 2 and was logged out. The strange thing was, being logged out I could see my postings. I logged back in and my postings went 'under cover' again only to be revealed to me once someone responds or I go look in My Content area to see what mischief I have been up to.

    I sympathise Victoria.
    I have a similar problem.
Any entry I make does not become visible to me, but seemingly is visible to everyone else.
Each time I hit What's New I have to then hit All Latest Messages, otherwise none of the Threads I have responded in are visible - unless someone else has responded since my entry.
It's a pain but I'm living with it.

I'll pass this on to the Webmaster to see what can be done:coffee:

This is actually a feature... the idea being, why would you want to see messages which you know you have posted? they re-appear so to speak only when someone replies after your post.

You can view all your replys and threads by hovering on your username in the top right hand corner and clicking the "Your Content" link.

I've still referred it to the Webmaster as he is always interested in members comments as to whether a "feature" in the new system is liked or disliked.:coffee:

Reason being, we don't need to see threads that we've made the last post in. It won't become visible to us unless someone responds. It un clutters the board view for us.

If you really need to see a thread in which the last post was yours then just log out, view as a guest, then log back in again.

I can understand that you might need to do this if you've forgotten what you've posted but I find it a very usefull feature to get to what we really need to see.

          Perhaps I am missing something?
I can see all posts, both mine and everyone else's (well ones I am supposed to be able to see)
I use fire fox, page loading times are not slow either

I must say I do not find this a 'feature' at all, in fact I find it quite bizarre! This is not a 'feature' on other forums to which I belong! Why would I want to read posts I had recently made? Because I may wish to edit the post or refresh my memory of the contents of the particular posts I responded to (ie, such as in the Identification area and may have other ideas) ... and because I am an organised person and like continuity and putting my recent posts in 'another place' is not continuity. There are more 'key strokes' than is necessary and probably because I take shorthand I like 'brief cuts'.

I will tolerate it as I have been, but I still think it is strange that everyone BUT me can see my posts in the order and time sequence they were posted within the forum. I'm not whinging .. I'm making a constructive criticism, in my opinion anyway!

GCC, it is easier doing it your way! :blue thumb: ... but the downside is that is shows all recent posts including the ones I have marked read.

Watergarden, I've tried on IE, Firefox and Chrome ... still the same.
