    I'm getting all excited now.
I'm off to India - Gujrat to be precise for 2 weeks with my Ma.

I was not born in India but my Mum and Dad were born in India, I was born in Kenya so I always say that the drum beat of Africa beats in my heart but I also say that spiritually I find that there is a draw to India as well.

I have been to India 3/4 times before but the only trip I remember reasonably clearly is when I went there 34 years ago. (I know.....that sounds like centuries ago :D)
I was 21 then and I think I enjoyed myself and spent a lot of time with my Uncle and his family. (my Ma's brother)
I'm sure I have other cousins out there but have no intention of looking them up.

Anyway, going back to my trip......We flap our wings and fly off on the 15th, with a 4 hour stop over in Doha in Quatar. I don't think we will see much except the inside of the airport but I can still say that I have been to Quatar.:)

I have booked the hotels etc. from here so I don't have too much hassle when i get there.

I have plans to come back with different type of seeds, amongst all the other bits of retail therapy I have planned.
This trip is mainly for me to go back to some of the places I visited all those years ago and to visit a few of our religious sites which I have always wanted to go back to.

Himself is not coming with me because he feels this is something I need to do with my Ma plus he says that we will be speaking ''gibberish'' so he won't understand a word and feel out of it. Mind you, he is still paying for saying that I speak ''Gibberish''

I'm thinking of keeping a diary and taking lots of photos and am planning to post a travel diary when I get back.

Is this something that would be of interest here?

On one of the other sites I post on, we have a Monkeh as our mascot and I will be taking him with me so he can write up his travel experiences as well.

    Thanks to everyone.:gnthb:

I am looking forward to this trip. It's been a long time in coming for various reasons that I'd not bore everyone with.

I'll keep a long hand diary and will make ntoes with my photos so I know what I'm rambling aobut when I get back. I'm hoping that various seeds will find their way into my suitcase whilst I'm out there.

I went to Bali 2 years ago, left Himself to his own devices and found out that he had managed to cadge dinners off all our friends and had himself a whale of a time.:skp:

This time, Himself has been told not to do that and to learn to cook for himself, plus he has been given a list of things to do while I'm away and one fo them is the garden. It has not had any attention from e in the last 3/4 weeks because of various other committements plus the weather being iffy by the time I get home from work.

Only 5 days to work :):) then we go stay in a hotel on Friday night so we can get to Heathrow on Saturday morning. Himself can't do that since his Lord and Masters changed his shift pattern a few months ago. I'm tempted to send them the bill for the hotel room since it's extra expense I'd not have incurred if they had left his shifts alone.

I shall see the upgraded site when I get back unless I get to a Internet cafe over there in which case I'll have a quick look.
