Oh, boy!

After a really sh€%#y last year, I was optimistic, hopeful. I've just found out I'm to be a grandma again! What's wrong with that? You might ask! Well... he's only sixteen!!!!! had my first( delightful) grandson arrive in march. And hoped they would be a little more careful! I've found out today ( via text!!!!!! ) that she's nearly 20 weeks!
I hope anyone reading this understands my........angst
I think it's sooooo unfair that there are so many couples desperate for a baby yet this pair of kids, are reproducing at a rate of knots! And yes I'm saying that about my son!!
Don't get me wrong, they are good parents but they should be living life and leave reproducing to people who really want it.

I truly believe it's in some other hands, we are lucky to have those close to us near and safe, I (thank God) if that's not to pc, and im greatful for you lot!

 

A shock to the system no doubt! Yes Loki, sixteen is young to be a parent. You say they are good parents so their children will be well cared for - that you can be thankful for. Many at that age don't think about the consequences and don't want the responsibility of rearing their children and then those children suffer.

I agree with Armandii, we've all made mistakes that we can't turn back time on to start again, so all you can do is accept your son's chosen road and be there for him when he needs you. That's what we parents do! And I still quote that to my three, even though they're all around forty now.

 

My initial word to my son was........ don't worry, I love you, we'll sort it! I'm just soooooo feeling how hard it's going to be! He's just got an apprenticeship, earning little money, he had big plans not now x

 

If he's determined he'll make it work Loki, and he also knows he has a good mum to help him along the way.

 

Thanks guys, I needed a boost I know my son is able, he his capable and he will do what he needs to do to , I just want him to be my baby still

You're welcome Loki. It's difficult to let go but we must as our children need to build their own lives.

I have three and two of mine emigrated to different countries within four months of each other, it broke my heart at the time. I won't fly and my son can't afford to come back and visit. It's six years since I've seen him.

 

You lot are brilliant ❤️ I have five but it's breaking my heart as each one goes. It's number 2 who is super fertile He's my little baba , how the ........ do people deal with this????
