Ingenious use of the pots Slink - nice artistic touch and they make a very interesting focal point in your corner. What is the plant you are growing in them??

With old terracotta chimneys though, I must admit I would never put paint anywhere near them. They look lovely just as they are. I like it when unusual items are planted up - I remember driving along a road in Cornwall and a whole old rowing boat had been painted up on the verge and planted with lots of beautiful summer flowers. So distracted by it, I only just made the bend in the road!

Cheers Cookie,What you see in the pots is
Imperata cylindrica 'Red Baron' Japanese Blood Grass.

    Very nice slinky.

Watch out if you put them out in your front garden though as they are now very valuble as archictural salvadge and may walk.

What a beautiful corner, and as CM says, artistic.

That Japanese Blood Grass will make a lovely show later on, well, it is turning red now. I googled after you said what it is, I wouldn't mind some of it around our pond, very pretty.

Is that a small Acer in the front left?

    Well done, Slinkey.

Very nice Slinky I'm a fan of pot painting too although my tastes are of the slightly wackier coloured kind my chimney pots are painted with gold and purple although shortly I'll be adding a touch of black to them when I paint my chairs.Hel.xxx.
