We moved into our Victorian house 19 months ago. I couldn't do much to the garden until our building work was completed at Christmas. The original family were obviously keen gardeners but sadly the house was bought and let out , or left empty for about 25 years. Just before we bought it the owners got someone to completely cut back everything from nice trees and shrubs to enormous brambles, ruining the greenhouse. However I am discovering lots of roses and perennials and the soil is good, the neighbours nice and there are no problems really, although I wish it were bigger!
