When is our government going to grow a back bone I wonder.

abu qatada, a bloke that is wanted for terrorism in his home country, and who openly praised osama bin laden, is still here, after winning yet another court battle against his extradition.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20295754

It was only 20 odd years ago when he could have still been hanged for treason for openly praising an organisation that he knows intends to attack the sovereign state of Britain. Now he not only gets to avoid being hanged, he gets to stay here relatively free.

I don't think for a second that we should just hand people over to any country that asks, but if the evidence is there AND the accused openly expresses hatred towards his host, then surely we should just be able to boot them out. Ok, so the court says we can't send him to Jordan, because he might not get a fair trial, so rather than spending thousands and thousands on legal teams and court cases, why not spend £500 to buy a little boat with a 3.5HP engine, give him a gallon of drinking water and a pack of sarnies, and just set him free on the condition that if he tries to reach British land again, the Royal Navy will sink him first. Seems fair enough to me, in good weather conditions and launching from the right spot, he could easily reach france, the netherlands or Belgium.

Give him the top job at the BBC.
They're having trouble controlling the staff.
Abu-Q would not have the same problem

Beyond belief again, if he'd been sweeping leaves for the council to clear up he'd be banged up.

Said on the front of one of the tabloids today that it will cost £100k per day to keep him here. Granted it was a tabloid, I think it might of been the Sun or the Mirror or some such, but even if its 10% of that cost, its still a colossal amount of money to spend on looking after a terrorist.

Here's a thought, when Monkey Boy declared war on his Access Is Evil, I think the official criteria for an enemy state was one that knowingly harboured terrorists. That's us.

The laws and judges all need sorting out.
Its in the interests of the legal services to keep this kind of thing dragging on.
I wonder how much money his legal team have made in the last ten yrs.

I guess we cant totally blame Europe, but I bet there is some law that they imposed on us, that he would find to hide behind.

I'm not sure where we, as a nation are heading, but I think we need some kind of revolution, and a few heads rolling in high places, its the only thing that's going to save us.
