One set of red onions growing one not.

    Hello,

    I have two plant pots with red onions in them. One is coming along well with the green shoots the other nothing yet. They where both planted at the same time.
    Any ideas?

    Very strange for sets to be so erratic, only thing I can think of is maybe they have been over watered and the sets have rotted. Maybe they will recover with warmer weather, only water when the compost appears dry on the surface. If you are really concerned you can gently scoop away the compost around a failed set to see if it squishy or throwing out roots.

    Good news green shoot has started out of one of the onions in this set, i assume thr others wont be too far behind.
