    Hi @POOLSIDE

If you want to add a pic to Michael's brilliant thread then all you have to to is click on Upload a File in your reply box then make your choice. I tend to attach pics from Documents but you can also add directly from your camera or camcorder too.

You could start your own thread @POOLSIDE and then you'll have all your photos together in the same thread, as you can see mine here but added at different times.

I'll be adding more here soon because the days are lighter now and I can gomout better.

I took some stuff to the recycling tip yesterday afternoon, it's about 5 miles away, and on a craggy outcrop near-by is Carreg Cennen Castle, so I went to have a look at it.

First here are some views of the castle as the road meanders around ...

I parked by the castle and decided to walk up to it ...

You couldn't get right up to it without paying £5.50 (it is owned by the near-by farm) but I've seen it many times before, and it's only a lot of crumbling walls, so I didn't go all the way up to it.

Here are some views of the surrounding countryside taken on the walk up and back from the castle ...

It was a nice day for walking (and for going to the tip)

@Michael Hewett ..you've answered my question from another thread :dbgrtmb:

What beautiful area, it reminds me of a camping holiday hubs and I had in the Brecon Beacons before having our tribe.

Hope you don't mind me adding this additional info....

I don't mind you adding that @Upsydaisy, it's always nice to have more information.
Nice to know you went camping in the Brecon Beacons. The castle is in the National Park, on the very western tip of it near where I live.

          Thank you @Logan

Yes it is Michael isn't it. Whenever we go to a new NT property/ garden I always like to do a bit of research first and learn about its it's history. :)

Love the Breacons I can recall setting off on a days hike and on the homeward journey a thick fog descended so amazingly quickly....one minute it was clear the next we could hardly see our own feet.....a tad scary.

              Thank you @Victoria

What part of the Beacons did you stay at @Upsydaisy ? It's a large area covering several counties.
I know about those mists :yikes:

Oh gosh I have no idea Michael, it was about 39 yrs ago. We were on holiday just driving and stopping off if we liked the look of the area. We had been up to the Lake District and were returning south and decided to stop off in Wales. We came across this tiny campsite in a village it was set in a valley it was beautiful. We stayed 3 days before continuing southwards. I think we stopped off at Cheddar Gorge next.
It seems strange thinking back to those carefree roaming holidays before having our boys.
