    Hi everyone,

I've been a bit quiet on here lately because we have some news... After a lot of thought and deliberation we finally made the decision to move house earlier this year and we moved into our new house in July.

Thought I'd show you some photos of what we've been working on over the past couple of months.

This is what we started with, a blank canvas (something us garden enthusiasts dream of!)

As some of you will know, our last garden was so special to us as it all began as a memorial garden for our baby daughter, so it made leaving the old garden behind slightly more difficult and one of the first things to do in our new garden was get her little angel memorial in pride of place:

We then put in a wishing well water feature and started planning the borders.

We had built up quite a collection of roses in the old garden, but we left them all for the new owners to enjoy. So we've started again with this rose arch which we are growing Francis E Lester up.

We've also planted a new Tottering-by-gently, one of my all time favourite roses.

We used to get so much wildlife in the old garden, so we are trying to do the same here by planting lots of good pollinator friendly plants, putting up bird feeders and a bird box, the small pond and putting in a hedgehog highway. We've already started getting lots of different bees and butterflies, a few birds and on rare occasions a squirrel!

Its been really lovely seeing the garden take shape. Next up, will be planting lots and lots of spring bulbs. I'm glad I have the photos of our old garden to look back on, but I feel really proud of what we've managed to achieve here in our new home and hopefully it will all grow and thrive over the years to come.

I like the way you're developing your new garden, with a blank canvas you can do anything you want. It's nice that you've made a start by putting in place the little angel memorial for your daughter.
