DSCF1606.JPG Our newly bought cottage has a veg garen which is 10yds across at the top and in roughly a triangle widens over 25 yds to 15 yds across. It has been a veg garden we are told for many years and in the past has been very productive.

We are going to half the height of the beech hedge to allow more light from the west, as the plot is roughly north south in alignment.

We are thinking of a poly tunnel down the side of the neighbours house, and most of the site so a 20m long one by what width we are yet to decide. Any input welcome.

Looking down the veg plot. Gooseberry bushes down the bottom.

    Looking up the plot.

There are rasps and gooseberrry bushes, some beds have been made and some paths too using old roofing felt. We have some stuff growing, spuds, carrots and beans but the brassicas have been badly affected by birds.

      Nice plot :)

With the brassicas, it's easy enough to make a netting cage with the blue water pipe for hoops.

Worth doing a slug check under the roofing felt paths too :)
