Out of Lyme Regis today

Was a lovely afternoon so we jumped on a one hour Mackerel trip



Willow and Boyf Aiden.



Skipper was a nice bloke, sure i've been out with him before, but not on this boat



Bit worried about the flag we were sailing under, think they can still legally blow you out of the water with that one







No monsters on this trip, safely returned this one Thanks to another passenger for taking the pic for me

 

Please don't catch all the mackies before I'm back down that way in a couple of weeks!

 

The main flock of them is back down from the North Sea Should be around till October.

Loads of Whitebait beached too, just can't eat them from West Bay, shingle's too fine and they swallow loads of it Not got that many teeth as it is

Going back down tonight, making sure there's no Blackberries left down here if you'm coming back

 

I always bring my Blackberry tubs with me, plus I'll be checking out wild growing apples, including the place where I collected loads of windfalls off the shoreline, took them back to my caravan then realised hundreds of hoppers were jumping out of them and had to hurriedly bag them up in bin bags and shoo dozens of them out the doors.

 

Just got back from the beach, 20 ish fish caught, 8 keepers

 

It seems your luck is in with the fish at the moment Zigs.

You can see we didn't go far from shore. The trip was accompanied by live music from the guitar festival on the beach

 

Ah yes, the guitar thingy. I attended last year and it was very enjoyable, great vibe.

 

I didn't know it was on till we got down there, wondered why the car park was full.
