Hi everyone, i have just recieved the above seeds in th post and was wondering if anyone has started them before or can give me any advice?? I had a quick google search and it said the passion flower can be difficult to germinate and sometimes dont come "true" from seed, but i have no idea what that means??? It also said its flowering period is only a day...does that mean the flower only lasts for a day???

    Cheers

Hi Never grown either from seed

" dont come true from seed" easy answer you get seed from a blue plant , when you plant these seeds and grow to produce their own flowers they may be blue, white, pink.
5 inches tall , 20 inches tall each seed is unique and doesnt follow what the parent looked like.

just like people having kids :snork: .blonde , brown etc

Lots of different kinds of passion flower, one or two hardy, but mostly tender.
      Chinese lanterns, physalis?
Some ornamental, others having edible fruits.

Both germinate fairly easily from fresh seed.

I'd just sow in a pot of multipurpose, and prick out once they reach the two leaf stage.
Not sure you will get flowers on either this year, its a bit of a late start, but you should get some good plants for next year.
