I've just found this site and I'm hoping someone can help me please. For the second year running two of my conference pear cordons have been blighted by some horrible red stuff and I have no idea what it is. I've taken some photos. I also don't know how to control it. In anticipation I started spraying the trees with anti fungal and bug spray alternately just as the new buds started showing. This hasn't made any difference. The red stuff ruins the blossom and the subsequent pears if they're lucky enough to survive. Please can someone give me some advice? Thanks to anyone who can help 20140413_091255.jpg 20140413_091128.jpg .
