Anyone got any experience with fruit pickers on long poles like this? Are there any brands which you know work well?

Hi @Howard Stone we have one of the ones in your 2nd picture and we find it really easy as once fruit has dropped in it is difficult to drop it.. I would be concerned that it would be easier to drop the fruit with the grabber one when manoeuvring around branches..

Thanks but it didn't work for me. First the bag ripped on the first use. And second, the plucker rips off quite a lot of branch with the fruit -- maybe pear trees are more brittle than apples.

Back to amazon it goes for a refund.

I am lucky Howard mine are grown espalier against a wall now so either use the bag catcher one or send grandson up ladder to pick by hand. ;) Good luck in your hunt..
