    Is the plant in first picture a Peony or a shrub? Also, what is the beautiful striped plant in the foreground of the second photo ?? Both pictured flowering this week so nice late summer colour....

      Hi @barryman they are both dahlias. I don't know which varieties I'm sorry. Dahlias get very robust towards autumn and then frost hits and they collapse (till next year, if dug up and stored).
