      RIP Peter.

I agree, it was an iconic film, and hard to believe it was released in 1969, 50 years ago! A little known ironic fact about it is that the two "Pans" (Harleys) used in it were ex-Police bikes.

We always used to have a little joke about the film. It went "Easy Rider. The film with Fonda on a Honda and Hopper on a chopper!"

Slightly off topic, and referring to 50 years ago...this weekend marks the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Peters passing on the 16th was the second day of that festival. He's probably up there now with Hendrix, Lee, and others that performed there and have since passed having a good party!

I saw it at a theatre in downton Toronto. My boyfriend and I got there on his BSR. It kept stalling at all the stop lights so I had to keep jumping off and raising the foot pegs so he could kick start it again.

The otiginal version of hop on and hop off sight seeing

Edit was to correct bike name... think I got it right this time!

Aww @pete you didn’t see easy rider.? Aww at the time it was ground breaking.. He was In loads of movies but I think most were Bmovies if you know what I mean.. I saw him in a film about Gold mining and a cowboy film but couldn’t tell you the names of them... Easy Rider was the one..

I think maybe he was overshadowed by his father Henry and even sister Jane.. Here’s a list.. ;)

@CanadianLori if you had edited it to BSA you would have got it right. We always used to joke that BSA stood for "Bits Stuck Anywhere" :heehee:

@Marley Farley quite right, it was ground breaking. Until that fiim was released outside of the USA, very few people even knew what a chopper was. Almost overnight, they seemed to be being built in garden sheds everywhere. I suppose in its own way, it founded a change in teenage culture.

I think that mining one was something like Cat Dancing or something like that.
