Margarine has been considered bad for a while now.

Most of the widely accepted health advice dates back to the 1980s and earlier, and much of it has since been proven to be utter horse manure.

Official nhs diet advice still has people making themselves seriously ill with various deficiencies, by ruling out saturated fats (essential if you want various fat soluble vitamins) and eating lots of diabetes inducing carbs while depriving your body of the protein it needs.

If you stick to official government guidelines for diet, you actually can't get what you need without consuming so much that you'd put on lots of weight. Ie, you can't achieve the right nutrient requirements within your calorie allowance if you follow official guidelines. Well you probably can, but it would cost loads and take all your time up studying data.

No need for fancy diets, just get a smaller plate/bowl and get a dog to take for walks.

Ginger nut biscuits are carcinogenic ....

One of my (student) sons had a fancy for a slice of fried bread.
Out came the frying pan, out came a slice of bread, on went the hob, in went the bread.
                      He was sooooo disappointed!!! :dunno:

"It was like bad toast!" he moaned. :th scifD36:
"Yes, son. Try adding some fat for it to FRY in" :pathd:

Aah, now see, not having mains electric, I make my toast in a dry frying pan then add butter to the first side while the second side is browning :)
