    Hello all

    I hope you are well.

I have a Phormium, I think, planted last September, that produced a flower spike in the Spring.

The flowers have mostly faded now but I was wondering what I need to do regarding the Flower Spike, do I leave it or do I need to prune it?

This is how it looks now:

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

Its up to you, you can leave it or cut it down to the base of the plant.
It might have seed pods develop but they are not really attractive.

Second look, I'd cut it down, bit more energy going to the plant then.

    Hello @pete

    Thanks for the reply.

I was leaning more towards pruning it to the base, especially since the plant is only relatively young, as you say, more energy to the plant then.

    Thanks

    Kevin
