Awesome photos to choose from....here's my fav 3.

    1. Trunky....."Ice in the Sun". Beautiful colours, a lovely compostion and I can feel the cold air just looking at it. Sublime!

    2. Trunky...."Gateway to Where?". Another lovely compostion, simple and effective with beautiful flowers. Like "Ice in the Sun" above I think it shows artistic flair and natural ability.

    3. Yvonne...."Comet Watching". A lovely photo, well balanced with stunning colours showing my home town at it's finest!

Such a difficult choice! Photography is not just about the picture content.

1st......Marley......The Best......It's not easy to take pictures of mechanical engineering and get it right. The light reflection, focusing, detail, I think is spot on.

2nd.....Dave W......Sinetti.....A lovely shot of these flowers, I like the angle it's taken from and focusing with the sky behind can be difficult.

3rd......Bilbo.....Anyone For Conkers?......A clear well focused picture showing lovely detail.

Such a tough choice coming up with just three, so many great photos.

1st.....Dave W.....The Voyageur..... The subtle autumn colours and reflections are beautifully captured in this tranquil scene. I feel relaxed just looking at it.

2nd.....Stephenprudence.....Did I Fool You?..... Fantastic vibrant colours, sharp, a stunning photo.

3rd.....Shiney.....Out of the Shadow Comes Light..... Something a bit different, well observed and a good opportunity spotted.

What a luxurious assortment - so, so difficult but, it has to be done:

      1) Sheal Time for reflection
wonderful subject - utterly mesmerising. What is he thinking?
      2) Hsuh Tree shadows
great perspective and superb Autumn colours
      3) Dave W The beautiful eyes of the beholder
Close up portrait photography at its best. What fine, almost porcelain skin and those eyes....
      Jenny

      1. Stephenprudence... "Did I Fool You?" Sharp colours, good subject
      2. Bilbo... "Anyone for Conkers.?" Just like it, brings out the textures and 'terroir' of the conkers
      3. Dave W... "Sinetti..." Sharp and bright

:rolleyespink: Well as I have just spent a lot of time looking at them all, here are my votes..

1st.. Dave W... The Voyageur... Wonderful colours, textures & reflections. A sense of Autumnal afternoon..

2nd.. Sheal... Time for Reflection... A beautiful timeless shot, that reminds me of my childhood...

3rd... Woo... Across the River.. Deep, dark & moody, wonderful skyline...

Oh dear it was soooooo hard to choose 3.! There are a couple more that were so close, but in the end these are the ones that drew me every time..

Well done everyone [IMG] and thank you all for taking part throughout the year as without you, there would be no comps.. :ThankYou:

1 Bilbo - Anyone for conkers. Got a vote from me first time round. It still really grabs my attention. It's got a real autumn smell !

2 Sheal - Druid Dale. Oh pass me my walking boots and watch me disappear up that road.

3 Jenny - In the Pink. Quite apart from the quality of the macro shot, there's a very serene quality to this shot.
