Is the problem the brown spots, that dont look serious, or the leaf colour which indicates to me it needs an ericaeous feed.

We bought it last year 75% off from the garden centre as it had been in its pot too long. We planted it, fed it with multi purpose fertilizer and hoped to rescue it.

It was pretty pale looking. It perked up but now has these spots!

What do we need to do to make it happy in colour and spottiness!

Like I just said to Barry & hjc Victoria, if it was me I would give it a feed of
    sequestered iron plant food..
I have no idea what soil you have if it is not acid, you would have needed to have dug plenty of well rotted leaf mould & organic matter into the hole first so that it thinks it is in acidic type soil...

So if it was me I would feed them with sequestered iron plant food & see if that helps if it was me, it is good stuff & packed with....:thumb:

Well I expect there are several but I usually use Murphy's because it is easy, or Doff..

as you are on chalk I would also try and increase the acidity of the soil by either re-planting in ericaeous compost or digging in some round the plant. Mulch with pine needles

I bought the Murphy's tonic yesterday, but the guy at the nursery said to wait until the soil has dried out a bit as it will all just drain away. So another month and it might have stopped raining?! :lollol:
